Job Overview:

As the Director of Business Development at Prodigal Building Systems, you will play a crucial
role in driving the company’s growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
You will lead the business development team, develop strategic initiatives, and establish and
nurture client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

● Business Growth Strategy: Develop and execute strategic plans to drive business
growth and expand market presence. Identify new markets, sectors, and opportunities
for expansion.
● Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong client relationships.
Act as the primary point of contact for key clients and strategic partners.
● Lead Generation: Identify and qualify potential clients and projects through market
research, networking, and targeted outreach. Develop a robust pipeline of business
opportunities.
● Proposal Development: Collaborate with project managers and subject matter experts
to prepare and submit compelling proposals, bids, and presentations to prospective
clients.
● Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and partners to
secure favorable contract terms and agreements. Ensure compliance with company
policies and legal requirements.
● Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the business development team,
setting clear goals and expectations, and fostering a culture of collaboration and
excellence.
● Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.
Provide insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making.
● Networking: Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals, trade
associations, and relevant stakeholders to expand the company's network and visibility.
● Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth through successful lead conversion, contract
wins, and project acquisitions. Meet or exceed business development targets and
objectives.

● Marketing Collaboration: Oversee and collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator to
develop and execute marketing strategies that support business development efforts,
including branding, online presence, and promotional campaigns.

Qualifications:

● Proven experience as a Director of Business Development or a similar senior leadership
role in the construction or related industry.
● Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, construction management, or a
related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
● Strong knowledge of the construction industry, market dynamics, and trends.
● Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a track record of leading high-
performing teams.
● Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
● Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Results-driven mindset
with a focus on achieving business growth objectives.
● Commitment to collaboration and teamwork.
● Willingness to travel as needed.
