Job Overview:

As a Human Resources Manager at Prodigal Building Systems, you will play a critical role in
managing and optimizing our human resources functions. You will be responsible for attracting,
retaining, and developing top talent, ensuring a positive workplace culture, and supporting the
overall success of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

● Recruitment and Talent Acquisition: Lead the recruitment and selection process,
including job posting, candidate screening, interviewing, and hiring. Collaborate with
department managers to identify staffing needs.
● Onboarding and Orientation: Develop and oversee the onboarding process for new
employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the company and compliance with
company policies and procedures.
● Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, concerns, and
grievances. Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture and address employee
relations issues as they arise.
● Performance Management: Manage the performance appraisal process, including goal
setting, performance evaluations, and development plans. Provide coaching and
guidance to employees and supervisors as needed.
● Training and Development: Identify training and development needs, develop training
programs, and coordinate employee development opportunities to enhance skills and
knowledge.
● Compliance and Policy Enforcement: Ensure compliance with employment laws and
regulations. Maintain and update company policies and procedures, and enforce them
consistently.

● Benefits Administration: Oversee employee benefits programs, including health
insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits. Assist employees with benefit-related
inquiries and changes.
● Payroll and Compensation: Coordinate payroll processing, salary administration, and
compensation programs. Ensure accurate and timely payroll and compliance with wage
and hour laws.
● Employee Engagement: Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives to
foster a positive work environment, boost morale, and enhance employee satisfaction
and retention.
● Legal Compliance: Stay up-to-date with employment laws and regulations, and ensure
the company's compliance with federal, state, and local laws.

Qualifications:

● Proven experience as an HR Manager or a similar HR leadership role.
● Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. HR
certification (e.g., SHRM or HRCI) is a plus.
● Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
● Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
● Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
● Experience with HR software and systems; experience with industry tools like Lumber
and BuilderTrend preferred
● Commitment to confidentiality and ethical conduct.
● Ability to build strong working relationships and collaborate with all levels of the
organization.
