Job Overview:

As a Lead Carpenter at Prodigal Building Systems, you will play a key leadership role within our
construction projects. You will lead a team of carpenters and apprentices, ensuring that all
carpentry work is completed to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

● Carpentry Leadership: Lead and supervise a team of carpenters and apprentices,
providing mentorship, guidance, and direction to ensure the successful execution of all
carpentry tasks.
● Carpentry Expertise: Demonstrate advanced skills in all aspects of carpentry, including
framing, finish carpentry, cabinetry installation, and more, while adhering to project
specifications and blueprints.
● Project Coordination: Collaborate closely with project supervisors, contractors, and
other trade professionals to coordinate tasks, schedules, and resources to ensure the
smooth progression of projects.
● Quality Assurance: Oversee and conduct inspections to ensure that all carpentry work
meets the company's quality standards and client expectations.
● Problem Solving: Proactively identify and resolve complex carpentry challenges and
issues that may arise during projects, making decisions that contribute to successful
outcomes.
● Tool Mastery: Proficiently operate and maintain a wide range of carpentry tools and
equipment, including advanced power tools, ensuring safety and precision.
● Material Management: Assist in the procurement of materials, tracking inventory, and
managing their efficient use on the job site.
● Safety and Compliance: Enforce and ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and
regulations, maintaining a safe work environment for all team members.

Qualifications:

● Proven experience as a Lead Carpenter or a similar supervisory role in residential and
commercial construction.
● Exceptional expertise in carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
● Ability to read and interpret complex construction blueprints and plans accurately.
● Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of mentoring and
developing carpenters and apprentices.
● Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions independently.
● Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials and equipment.
● Commitment to workplace safety and thorough knowledge of safety regulations.
● High school diploma or equivalent.

Compensation/Benefits:

● $30-$38 per hour, depending on experience
● Paid time off (PTO) accrues after 90 days of employment
