Job Overview:

As a Salesperson & Estimator at Prodigal Building Systems, you will be a key member of our
sales and project estimation team. You will play a vital role in building and maintaining client
relationships, understanding their project needs, providing accurate project estimates, and
closing sales to contribute to the company's growth.

Key Responsibilities:

● Client Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong client relationships by
providing exceptional service and understanding their construction needs.
● Project Estimation: Evaluate project requirements, specifications, and blueprints to
prepare accurate and competitive project estimates, including material and labor costs.
● Sales and Business Development: Identify sales opportunities, leads, and prospects
through research, networking, and referrals. Effectively communicate the company's
value proposition to clients.
● Proposal Preparation: Prepare and present detailed proposals, bids, and quotations to
prospective clients. Clearly articulate project scope, costs, and timelines.
● Negotiation: Engage in negotiations with clients to secure favorable contract terms and
agreements. Collaborate with project managers and legal teams as needed.
● Client Education: Educate clients on construction processes, materials, and project
options to help them make informed decisions.
● Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market
conditions to provide insights and recommendations to other members of the Business
Development team.
● Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, project estimates, and client
interactions. Provide regular reports to management on sales performance and market
trends.
● Collaboration: Collaborate with the Operations team, including the Construction
Manager and Construction Coordinator, to ensure a coordinated approach to client
needs and project execution.

 

Qualifications:

● Proven experience in sales and estimating in the construction industry or a related field.
● Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes.

● Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

● Proficiency in reading construction blueprints and plans.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
● Results-oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
● Commitment to exceptional customer service.
● Bachelor's degree in construction management, business, or a related field is preferred
but not required.
