Job Overview:

As a Superintendent at Prodigal Building Systems, you will play a pivotal role in our construction
projects. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of on-site
construction operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest
standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

● Project Planning: Collaborate with project managers to develop detailed project plans,
schedules, and budgets. Ensure that project objectives are clear and achievable.
● Site Management: Oversee and manage all on-site construction activities, including
coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and labor, to ensure that work progresses
smoothly and efficiently.
● Safety Leadership: Promote and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and
regulations on the construction site. Conduct regular safety meetings and maintain a
safe work environment for all personnel.
● Quality Control: Monitor and inspect all construction work to ensure it meets Prodigal
Building Systems' quality standards and client expectations. Take corrective action when
necessary.
● Budget and Cost Management: Manage project budgets and control costs by
monitoring expenses, tracking materials and labor, and making adjustments as needed
to stay within budget.
● Problem Solving: Proactively identify and address construction challenges and issues
that may arise during projects, making informed decisions to keep the project on track.
● Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients and stakeholders,
providing updates on project progress and addressing any concerns or inquiries
promptly.
● Schedule Adherence: Ensure construction projects adhere to established schedules
and milestones. Adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes or delays.

● Team Leadership: Lead and motivate on-site construction teams, including carpenters,
laborers, subcontractors, and other trade professionals. Provide clear instructions and
guidance.

Qualifications:

● 5+ years as a leader within the construction industry, either as a Foreman and/or
Superintendent.
● OSHA-10 certified, OSHA-30 preferred.
● Demonstrated experience successfully leading residential and commercial construction
projects to completion.
● Strong knowledge of construction techniques, tools, and materials.
● Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and lead
team members and subcontractors.
● Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and plans accurately and
successfully perform construction take-offs.
● Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions independently.
● Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials and equipment.
● Commitment to ensuring workplace safety and thorough knowledge of safety
regulations.
● Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field preferred, but not
required.
● Bilingual in English and Spanish is strongly preferred.
